Workforce Services Division
The Workforce Services Division is responsible for policy development and workforce activities related to administering services and programs funded by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. We are the link between job seekers looking to begin or change careers, and businesses looking for skilled workers to maintain competitiveness in a changing labor market.
Utilizing a funding stream comprised of WIA, state, and county workforce investment funds, our One-Stop Career Center system serves over 10,000 job seekers and employers each year.
The Workforce Services Division provides workforce intelligence and solutions for the job seeker and business. Our mission is to contribute to the economic vitality of Prince George’s County by providing a demand driven system that delivers qualified workers to business and provides job seekers with opportunities for careers in high demand/high growth industries.
