George's One Stop Career Center
The Prince George’s One-Stop Career Center (One-Stop) is part
of a national network of career resource centers funded by the Workforce
Investment Act. Our mission is to provide the tools and resources
needed by the business community and the job seeker to meet their workforce
needs. We provide workforce intelligence and solutions. Services
are available for adults and youth (14-21 years old)
The One-Stop Career Center brings a variety of resources together in one
location. Some services are provided by our on-site partners and
those linked to us off-site. Our partners include:
- Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation – On-site
- Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services – On-site
- Job Corps– On-site
- Prince George’s County Literacy Council – On-site (Summer,
2007)
- Prince George’s Community College – Off-site
- Prince George’s County Department of Social Services – Off-site

Youth Services
We offer a variety of programs and services that are especially designed
for youth, or may be of interest to youth. If you are between the ages
of 14 to 21 years, and need help finishing school and finding a job,
contact the One-Stop Career Center. Our Pprograms prepare youth
for postsecondary educational opportunities or employment, linking academic
and occupational learning together. Programs include tutoring, study
skills training, and instruction leading to completion of secondary school
(including dropout prevention), alternative school services, mentoring
by appropriate adults, paid and unpaid work experience (such as internships
and job shadowing), occupational skills training, leadership development,
and appropriate supportive services.
