Maryland Business Works Program (MBW)
Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE)
Use the Maryland Workforce Exchange to post your job openings. MWE
provides exposure to the broadest range of most qualified candidates
with our job search sites. Posting current employment opportunities
in MWE will get you the exposure you need to get the best employee.
Recruitment of Workers
The Business Services Unit will assist with your recruiting efforts. Under
certain circumstances, Business Services staff will conduct customized
recruitments for you.
Pre-Screening and Referrals
We will test prospective applicants and assess their qualifications
to ensure you get the most qualified candidate for the current
job recruitment.
Labor Market Information
You have access to a great deal of information about the local and
regional labor market, as part of our Labor Market Information program.
Existing Worker Training
We can assist with the costs of maintaining a competitive workforce. Funding
is available to offset the costs of upgrading the skills of your existing
employees through customized training or Maryland Business Works.
Recently Trained Program Graduates
We have a database of individuals who have received “industry
standard” skills training. These individuals have received additional
education and “demand driven” training. We can connect
you with already-trained school graduates, and job seekers who are
ready to work. Come to the One-Stop Center to connect
with these motivated job seekers.
Tax Credit Assistance
You may be eligible for tax credits. Our Business Services staff
will evaluate your eligibility for any tax incentives.
Federal Bonding Program
The program issues Fidelity Bonds, and is sponsored
by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Fidelity Bond is a business
insurance policy that protects the employer against employee theft or
dishonesty. The bond is given to the employer free of charge for
6 months. |
